2020 NIO EC6 Specs, Range, Performance

Premiered in 2020 EC6 is not innovation model in NIO lineup. The EV platform replicates its predecessor ES6, which debuted in early 2019. But redesigned fastback silhouette and interior can compete even with Tesla.

Compared to its predecessor, EC6 has improved aerodynamics and lighter weight, giving a correspondingly sharper acceleration to 60 mph (4.5 seconds). The lower part of the body of the crossover and the coupe is the same, as are the basic geometric parameters: length – 4,850 mm, wheel base – 2,900 mm. But the EC6 model has a different «cap» with a collapsed rear rack and panoramic roof of 2.1 square meters, with glass capable of holding up to 99.5% of the ultraviolet rays. The aerodynamic drag coefficient is reduced from 0.29 to 0.27.
