The electric 208 has the same (capacity and configuration) passenger compartment and cargo space as the petrol version of Peugeot 208. This is due to the fact that the electric car is based on the modular platform MP/e-CMP (Common Modular Platform), which is provided for different propulsion systems. E-208 is equipped with two displays: a touch-sensitive central screen and a digital instrument panel.

The electric version of 208 is powered by a 100 kW (136 hp) engine with a torque of 260 Nm and a 50 kWh battery, which Peugeot claims will allow the electric vehicle to run up to 340 km per charge (WLTP standard). With regard to charging, Peugeot states that the car supports a fast DC charging of up to 100 kW, while charging at level 2 stations is due to the built-in 11 kW charger. Using a home wall plug, it takes 16 hours to fully charge the electric car. Level 2 charging station will require 5 hours 15 minutes (3 phases, 11 kW) and 8 hours (1 phase, 7.4 kW). The use of fast charging stations will replace up to 80% in 30 minutes.
