About 2020 SEAT el-Born

SEAT el-Born is the first clean electric car of the Spanish brand based on the Volkswagen MEB platform. The electric car is named after one of the most famous areas of Barcelona, which has become a place of inspiration for SEAT designers and engineers who sought to create an environmentally friendly and sports car for the busy streets of this place with the most advanced electrical technologies.

The SEAT el-Born electric motor has a power of 150 kW (204 hp) with 350 N⋅m of torque, transfers forces to the rear-wheel drive and accelerates the electric car to the first hundred in 7.5 seconds. The SEAT el-Born battery capacity is 62 kWh and it provides the electric vehicle with a range of 420 km through the WLTP cycle. At the bottom of the front of the car are air vents that provide air to cool the battery. In addition, the electric car is equipped with an advanced temperature control system for operation in various weather conditions, which helps to save the energy of the traction battery.

SEAT el-Born can be charged from AC power via the Type 2 port with 11 kW in 6 hours 15 minutes, as well as in fast charging stations with 100 kW in 47 minutes, up to 80% of the battery capacity.
